Why is Orkital better than other planters?
1. It doesn't trap heat like plastic and other metal planters & containers.
In Fact, Orkital's Aluminum shell dissipates heat; ensuring stable ambient temperatures for your flora.

2. It's durable:!
a. Orkital can withstand being perpetually submersed in water without rusting, corrosion,
degradation or discoloration like that of many steel planters. Unlike ceramics, it won't easily crack.
b. It's the only planter designed to play nice indoors and out; without marring,
scratching, or leaking on your precious furniture

c. It's finish won't wear off like that of painted planters and the coloring process even makes it tougher!
d. It's designed to suit many styles of Interiors; including Modern and Traditional.
3. It's a Sustainable Design and is recyclable too.

a. The orkital itself can be disassembled and recycled without the use of paint removers before processing.
b. Due to it's lightweight construction; Orkital weighs less than most standard ceramic pots of the same size.
Thus, reducing energy consumption needed for it's transport and storage.
c. The Packaging has it's own handle so you don't need to use shopping bags for transportation.
It can also be completely flattened to reduce our carbon footprint during distribution and storage.
We also made it out of PET for easier recycling and less weight than cardboard of equivalent strength.

Why do i need to submerse my planter?
1. Submersion can be very beneficial to many epiphytic & semi-epiphytic flora.
Many varieties of orchids such as dendrobium, phalaenopsis, and cattleya, benefit from a good occasional
soak as apposed to frequent pitcher watering. This is due to the fact that in their natural habitats, rain often
saturates the moss and other plant material surrounding their roots. Then, the water slowly drips off until
the roots are almost completely dry, and the cycle continues.
As always, do consult known care, placement and watering instructions for each species.

2. Submersion can also be used to saturate your floral foam.
When using floral foam, you can easily prepare it for cut flowers by soaking it along with the Orkital.
3. Submersion is not necessary for standard soil-based plants such as herbs and succulents.
For these flora, simple water slowly with a pitcher as usual and replenish soil from tray or as needed.

Why does Orkital cost so much or more than others?
1. Materials, color processing and Hand-Finishing; each one is like a unique sculpture.

a. Material: High Grade Aluminum; for better durability and recyclability.
b. Color Processing: Corrosion Resistant & won't tarnish or rust. It's actually etched into Orkital!
c. Finishing: Though it looks mass produced, each one's final shape,
texture & color is crafted by skilled artisans.

2. We produce them in limited quantities to ensure quality control.

Why does the H2O Tray wobble or seem unstable?
1. Orkital's feet were designed to be soft enough to protect even the softest woods and
tabletops from scratching. Thus some movement may occur during repositioning.
2. However, we do have more rigid/stiffer feet in production which will be included with
all future planters. For for those who have already purchased an Orkital,
they will be sent to you free of charge.
If you have not yet been contacted regarding this, please email us at:
.info@orkital.com

Why use silicone feet?
1. Orkital's feet were made not only to prevent scratching, but also to create a solid
moisture barrier for the H2O Tray. This keeps water stored in the tray, but off of your table.
2. Silicone was also chosen for it's unique translucency, giving more levity to Orkital's
aesthetic and because of it's easy user-removal for recycling or replacement.
