8elephants LLP addopts it's 1st Asian Elephant, Komali!.
Komali is a 39 years young female Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus) who resides at the Singapore Zoo.
Thanks to the Singapore Zoo for making it possible to aid in the care of these great animals.

8elephants LLP debuts Orkital™ at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show!
Thanks to Everyone who came to show us support and inquired about Orkital™
Being our 1st show ever, we learned a lot and had some really great questions and feedback which we're already incorporating into the Orkital™ Line. We are very humbled by the many encouraging words and thoughtful
comments given by show attendees and participants.

Orkital.com™ is born.
Finally, work commences on our website to introduce Orkital™ to the world and showcase what it can do :-)

04/2008
1st packaging prototypes arrive.
For Orkital™ to be displayed properly, we went through multiple opaque and transparent designs.
The final float packaging which you see today is revision #32 and has an integrated handle, s
s o you don't need another plastic bag to take it home.

02/2008
The very first Orkital™ prototypes arrive.
Over thirty different options were pondered within 27 different prototypes. We chose the best options,
designed our custom pattern and settled on 4 unique colors to mach or contrast many different interiors.

11/2007
8elephants LLP officially opens it's doors and production of the Orkital™ begins.
Plans were set in motion to redesign Orkital™ for consumers with more options, an instruction manual,
and packaging.

05/1998
The 1st Orkital is made out of reclaimed metal stock and given as a Mother's Day Surprise.
That's right, this aluminum planter (now known as Orkital™) was never intended to be mass produced,
but due to it's aesthetic and functional appeal; many requests were made to put it into commercial production.
Orchids still continue to bloom and thrive in this planter till this day!
